Cabernet Franc Reserve 2018Nissley’s 2018 Cabernet Franc Reserve took home the gold at the 2020 PA Farm Show. One of the first wines in the Reserve Collection originally released in November of 2018, this is our second vintage of the varietal. Cabernet Franc Reserve is aged in French and Hungarian oak for over 6 months. It is medium-bodied, with earthy notes and medium-high acidity. An excellent expression of our terroir in the Lancaster Valley. Try pairing with roasted pork, beef stew, ravioli, or a cheese and spinach quiche.
Chardonnay Reserve 2018The 2018 Chardonnay Reserve is a first for Nissley Vineyards. It was released in the Summer of 2019 and has quickly become a favorite among dry wine lovers. It was listed as one of the Top 10 Best Wines in Pennsylvania by the Pennsylvania Wine Society in January 2020 and received a silver medal at the 2020 PA Farm Show. 2018 Chardonnay Reserve is the first white wine to bear our Reserve designation. In the Burgundian tradition, the wine was fermented in French oak barrels then aged sur lie for 6 months. It reflects a tasteful balance of old-world winemaking techniques and new world grapes. This dry, rich, medium-bodied varietal pairs well with roasted chicken, crab cakes, and brie cheese.
Strawberry KissOur first sparkling strawberry wine was originally bottled to honor our 40th Anniversary back in 2018 and received rave reviews. Then, in April 2019, we debuted our first line of sparkling “Kiss” canned wine in 3 delightful flavors–strawberry, peach, and blueberry which continued to be a hit among sweet wine lovers. Strawberry Kiss, in particular, remains a favorite while taking home silver at the 2020 PA Farm Show. Wine-in-a-can is a growing trend with no signs of slowing down. The grab-and-go convenience and serving size are two contributing factors. Enjoy sparkling Strawberry Kiss as an aperitif or substitute with champagne when you mix your next mimosa!
